Itinerary Overview
Day 1: Arrival at Bagdogra/NJP – Transfer to Gangtok (120 km / 4 hrs)
Arrival: On arrival at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, you will be greeted by a representative from Book My Bharat.
Transfer to Gangtok: Begin your scenic journey towards Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim, situated at an altitude of 5,410 feet. Gangtok is renowned for its Buddhist monasteries, panoramic views, and its status as a key base for exploring the region.
Leisure Time: After checking in at the hotel, enjoy a leisurely evening exploring MG Marg Market, one of the most vibrant areas in the city.
Overnight Stay: Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.
Day 2: Gangtok – Tsomgo Lake – Baba Mandir – Nathula Pass (Optional)
Excursion: After breakfast, embark on a day excursion to Tsomgo Lake, located at a breathtaking height of 12,400 feet above sea level. This sacred lake is surrounded by majestic mountains and is home to migratory birds such as Brahminy ducks.
Baba Mandir: Visit the Baba Mandir, a revered shrine dedicated to the soldier Baba Harbhajan Singh, which is an important pilgrimage site for the locals.
Nathula Pass (Optional): Optionally, you may extend your journey to Nathula Pass, located 20 km from Baba Mandir, which is a key Indo-China border pass.
Return to Gangtok: After the day’s excursion, return to Gangtok.
Overnight Stay: Stay at your hotel in Gangtok.

Day 3: Gangtok – Lachung (98 km / 6 hrs)
Departure for Lachung: After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive towards Lachung, a picturesque village situated in the northern part of Sikkim.
Enroute Visits: On your way, stop at the Singhik Viewpoint, Seven Sister Waterfalls, and Naga Waterfalls—beautiful natural attractions perfect for photography.
Arrival in Lachung: Reach Lachung by evening and check in to your hotel.
Overnight Stay: Enjoy a relaxing dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Lachung.
Day 4: Lachung – Yumthang Valley & Zero Point (Optional) – Gangtok
Early Morning Excursion: After an early breakfast, proceed to Yumthang Valley, also known as the “Valley of Flowers.” Located at 11,800 feet, this valley is a haven for nature lovers and photographers.
Optional Visit to Zero Point: For those interested, take a further excursion to Zero Point, located at an altitude of 15,000 feet, offering stunning views of snow-covered peaks.
Hot Springs: On your return journey, visit the Hot Springs, known for their therapeutic properties.
Return to Gangtok: After the day’s exploration, return to Gangtok.

Day 5: Gangtok – Darjeeling (100 km / 4 hrs)
Departure for Darjeeling: After breakfast, check out and proceed to Darjeeling, a charming hill station located at 6,700 feet, famous for its tea plantations, monasteries, and colonial architecture.
Arrival in Darjeeling: Upon arrival, check in at your hotel in Darjeeling.
Leisure Time: In the evening, visit the Mall Road, a popular promenade where you can shop for local handicrafts and souvenirs.
Overnight Stay: Stay at your hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 6: Darjeeling Sightseeing
Tiger Hill Sunrise: Early in the morning, at 4:00 AM, depart for Tiger Hill to witness a spectacular sunrise over Mount Kanchenjunga, the third-highest peak in the world.
Enroute Visits: On the way back, stop at Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop War Memorial.
Breakfast and Sightseeing: Return to the hotel for breakfast. Afterward, embark on a half-day sightseeing tour that includes:
Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed on Thursdays)
Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursdays)
Tibetan Refugee Self-help Centre (closed on Sundays)
Visit The Mall and local markets for shopping.
Leisure Time: Spend the evening at leisure, exploring the local markets or enjoying personal activities.
Overnight Stay: Stay at your hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 7: Darjeeling – Departure to Bagdogra/NJP
Breakfast: After a final breakfast in Darjeeling, check out from the hotel.
Departure: Transfer to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station for your onward journey.
End of Tour: Your arrival at the airport/station marks the conclusion of your Sikkim & Darjeeling Tour with Book My Bharat.
