Arrive in Colombo in the morning before 9 am.. You will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Check-in and relax for some time. Later take a trip to Kandy the garden city of Sri Lanka. Our full day tour of Kandy is a great way to see the city of Kandy and Pinnawala Elephant orphanage. You will be picked from your hotel and drive to to Kandy. Enroute stop at Pinnawala Elephant orphanage where you can see the elephants being raised with great care and affection. You can take pictures of elephants as they take bath at the nearby river. Later continue to Kandy this royal city, sheltered by the hills and looped by the Mahaweli the longest river of Sri Lanka. We will take you straight to the temple of the tooth relic. Later you will visit the botanical gardens of Kandy and spice and fruits market. While visiting Royal Botanical Gardens located at Peradeniya you may like to stop at the University of Peradeniya - the spacious green campus laid out near the banks of the Mahaweli is a must for any visitor to Kandy. Afternoon a drive thru the hills of Kandy and head back to Colombo.

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before check-out. We will head to Kandy from Colombo which will take around 3.5 hours to reach. We won’t miss out visiting the famous landmarks once we’re here. First on the list is going to the Temple of Tooth Relic, a world heritage and pilgrimage site for Buddhist from all over the world. It’s also known as Dalada Maligawa where the sacred tooth relic of Buddha is preserved, although it’s not allowed for public viewing. But visitors can catch sight of the golden casket that has the shape of a stupa, available for public viewing twice a day. Explore the ground to check out the smaller temples and museums. Please ensure to wear appropriate clothes that cover your legs and shoulders while visiting the temple and to remove your shoes before entering.
The Peradeniya Botanical Garden is a popular tourist attraction for those who love nature. This garden is located about 5.5 km to the west of Kandy, known for the collection of Giant Bamboos of Burma, a Javan fig tree that’s over 100 years old, Cannonball trees, double coconut palms, and a huge variety of beautiful palms, and floras, many of them endemic to this area. Visitors often come for picnics by bringing their own packed lunch, or enjoy a relaxing meal at the cafeteria that serves local cuisines.
The Gem Museum has an impressive collection of gems of Sri Lanka. Along with it are knowledge that educates visitors on the geology of Sri Lanka pertaining to the gems that can be found in this country. And you can bring home some of these precious stones by purchasing from the shop that sells Sri Lankan Ceylon Sapphires, Pearls, and even Diamonds.
We’ll head back to the hotel once you’re done for your overnight stay in Kandy.

After breakfast at the hotel in Kandy, proceed towards Nuwara Eliya via Gampola. En route, visit the iconic Ambuluwawa Tower, known for its panoramic mountain views and unique spiral tower structure. Continue the scenic drive through tea plantations, waterfalls, and misty hill country landscapes before arriving in Nuwara Eliya for hotel check-in.

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel in Nuwara Eliya before we check-out. Today, we are going to Bentota and upon arrival, head straight to the hotel for check-in. Leave your luggage here and rest for a little before we proceed to the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery. Since 1981, the area has become one of the best locations to find turtles laying their eggs and it was established by the Wildlife Protection Society. The project will take in newborn turtles and raise them in big tanks with nutritional food and clean environment for just a few days. They’ll then be released into the wild at night from the safest area to ensure survivability. The Conservation generally has five species they take care of, and visitors will learn all about these gorgeous turtles that are now endangered. They are also allowed to interact with the turtles and hold them in their palms and check out the babies in their tanks.Once we’re done, we’ll then head back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Bentota.

Enjoy your breakfast the check-out from the hotel in Bentotta and hop on your ride for Colombo. We start our Colombo City Tour immediately upon arrival with a visit to the Fort. It was the administrative center during British ruling and today, the financial district where the Colombo Stock Exchange and World Trade Centre is located. There are arcades, cafes, hotels and offices with vintage atmosphere as they’re also historical buildings.
We continue driving to the Sea Street, the home of hundreds of jewelry shops known as the Goldsmith’s Quarters of Pettah. It is located within the Bazaar area where you can also visit the Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings of deities and tales.
Then we head to the Main Street to see the Kayman’s Gate or Dutch Bell Tower that used to serve as the entrance to the old Colombo Fort which still has its belfry (bell housing). The Dutch Church of Wolfendhaal is another historic wonder built during the Colonial era in 1740s. The church is one of the oldest functional Protestant churches in Sri Lanka.
Don’t miss out on the Kelaniya Buddhist Temple that’s remained as one of the most revered Buddhist temples in Asia since it was consecrated more than 2600 years ago. It brags gorgeous panoramic views on the surroundings and an incredible atmosphere around the temple itself. Its tight relationship to the politics of Sri Lanka makes this historical temple still visited by politicians to this day.
The Dewatagaha Mosque in Colombo is a majestic pristine white Muslim worship place located in the heart of the city. The impeccable architecture and domes have made this a familiar landmark to the Colombians.
Yet another iconic landmark is the BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall). This convention center was built in early 1970s as a gift in memory of the Prime Minister, Solomon Ridgeway Dias Bandaranaike, by the People’s Republic of China. It remains a high-class convention center and has seen many historical events, such as the SAARC Conference of World Leaders, being held here.
